John, the youngest person to be licensed by the Florida
Real Estate Commission, joined his father, James, at the family firm selling
real estate in 1964. John graduated from Gulf High School, completed real
estate courses at Tomlinson Adult Educational School, the University of FL,
Real Estate Land Institute and continued his real estate education through
numerous seminars and courses. He was awarded the Professional Designation of
“Accredited Land Consultant #758” by the National Association of Realtors. John
is an active member of many community organizations, nonprofit causes and
professional associations. He was appointed by the Governor to serve as Pasco
County Commissioner in 1983, served on the first Save Our Rivers Committee of
SWFWMD, was appointed the first lay-member of the FL Bar Association
Grievance Committee – 6th Judicial District, and served on the first Pasco
County School System Advisory Board. John and his wife Sharon have
raised two daughters and live in New Port Richey.
